WELCOME TO THE BIG MOUNTAIN SHORT FILM FESTIVAL

The FOURTH ANNUAL Big Mountain Short Film Festival is a FREE one-night-only event held on Labour Weekend in Ohakune:
October 26, 2009

The Big Mountain Short Film Festival celebrates short films from across New Zealand and around the world. We have screened shorts from over 30 countries, from micro-budget to massive budget.

Entirely FREE and held in Ohakune, New Zealand on the Saturday of this Labour Weekend, October 26, 2009, the fourth annual Big Mountain Short Film Festival brings together experienced professionals and film novices alike to foster new talents and forge new relationships within the New Zealand film industry.

2009 CALL FOR ENTRIES NOW OPEN

With the tremendous success of the first three Big Mountain Short Film Festivals, we have grown into a thriving and vibrant annual event.

Return on Labour Weekend 2009, submissions are now open for the 2009 programme. WE WANT YOUR SHORT FILM! Depending on its budget, it needs to be under 5 or 10 minutes. Check out the SUBMISSIONS PAGE for all the gory details.
